ncRNA Mapper
Developed by Youri Hoogstrate |
Introduction
ncRNA Mapper is a computer program that gives more insight in the localization of sequencing fragments. Given that sequencing of RNA gives reads at fixed base-positions, ncRNA Mapper analyzes the alignments (generated by Short Sequence Location Mapper; SSLM) by:
- visualizing them
- retrieving the conservation of each given nucleotide
- predicting the folding (done by centroid_fold)
- calculatinging how conserved the fragment is relative to the whole RNA sequence
The input that is required to accomplish these methods is SSLM-data, the RNA file where SSLM is based on, and an internet connection to download the conservation tracks.
